Building your craft box

Crafts 002

Every good crafter needs basic supplies.  Begin by getting a box (any shape, size or color is fine) that suits your needs.  A bigger box can grow with you as you begin to acquire more supplies. Fill your box with anything and everything you can possibly think of.  Here is a list of basic things you may want for your craft box:

  • Ruler
  • Craft sticks
  • Yarn
  • Pens
  • Markers
  • Colored pencils
  • Crayons
  • Glue (liquid and stick)
  • Glitter
  • Paint
  • Paint brushes of all sizes
  • Ink pads
  • Stamps
  • Scissors
  • Tape
  • Stickers
  • Paper (colored and plain)

Crafts 006Once you have the basics in your box you can start filling it with found objects.  Everything around you can be used for a craft project if you just think creatively.  Save everything including:

  • Clothes pins
  • Small jars
  • Film canisters
  • Toilet paper rolls
  • Medicine bottles
  • Gift bags
  • Tissue paper
