Show someone you love them with this fun baseball jersey card!  This card is completely customizable to match any baseball team or occasion.  Make it a thank you card, a get well card, or even a birthday card!  The choice is yours and no matter how you make it, it’s sure to be a home run!

Things you will need:

  • Construction paper in the colors of your team
  • Pens or markers
  • Glue
  • Scissors
  • A pencil

Step 1: Fold your piece of paper in half, making sure your edges are even.  Using your pencil, draw out the shape of a baseball jersey.  Don’t forget to draw the line down the middle where the buttons go!

Step 2: Using safety scissors, cut out the shape of your jersey.

Step 3: You should now have a front and back piece of your jersey.  Carefully cut along the line you made on the front of your jersey (where the jersey opens and the buttons go).

Step 4: Apply glue to the sleeve and outer edge of the back piece of your jersey as shown.

Step 5: Repeat step 4 on the other side of your jersey and gently press the front pieces to the back pieces, making sure to smooth out any bubbles.  Using your pencil, draw details onto the jersey such as the team name.  You can look at a picture of a jersey if necessary.

Step 6: Use your markers to fill in the details on the front of your jersey.  Be sure to use your team’s colors!

Step 7: Repeat the second half of step 5 and all of step 6 on the back of your jersey.  Here is where you can get creative.  You can put your last name, the name of your favorite player, or anything else you can think of.  The possibilities are endless!

Congratulations!  You just made a baseball jersey card!  This project is sure to be a hit with any baseball fan.  Did you do this project differently?  Did you pick a different team?  How did it turn out?  Please feel free to share your comments and pictures in the comments section.  Happy crafting!
