Halloween Doorknob Decorations

Posted on: October 6, 2012

Celebrate Halloween with this festive doorknob decoration! This is an easy craft that is perfect for decorating during Halloween and is great for the kids’ room or any room!

Things You Will Need:

  • Craft foam in the Halloween colors of your choice
  • Scissors
  • A pencil
  • Markers
  • Glue

Step 1: Begin by drawing the outline of a doorknob hanger onto a piece of foam. Once you have the shape you want, cut it out. If you do not have craft foam you can use cardboard, such as a cereal box, covered in paper.

Step 2: Draw some Halloween shapes onto pieces of foam and cut them out. I’ve drawn a ghost, a pumpkin and the word “boo.” Again, if you do not have foam you can use cardboard or other sturdy paper.

Step 3: Once All of the shapes have been cut out, use markers to add details such as a face for the ghost and lines for the pumpkin.

Step 4: Once all of the pieces have been colored and decorated, glue them to the doorknob hanger and let dry.

Congratulations! You have made a festive Halloween doorknob hanger. Hang this fun decoration anywhere you want to show your Halloween spirit. It makes a great addition to any holiday decor. Did you do this project? How did it turn out? Please feel free to share your comments and photos in the comments section. Happy crafting!
