Do you always have your nose in a book? This little guy does too! This dinosaur makes the perfect companion for readers big and small because he’s always there to hold your page. Simply hook his head over a page to mark your spot for next time.

Things you will need:

  • The dinosaur template (Click the link for a PDF)
  • Green craft foam or thick scrapbooking paper
  • A pencil
  • Markers
  • Scissors

Step 1: Cut out the template and trace it onto a piece of craft foam or heavy paper.

Step 2: Carefully cut out the dinosaur.

Step 3: Use your markers to add details to the dinosaur including little circles on his feet, spots on his belly, an eye and a smile. Another option is to use a googly eye instead of drawing an eye in.

Congratulations! You have made a dinosaur bookmark perfect for holding your place while you read. Did you do this project? How did it turn out? Please feel free to share your comments and photos in the comments section. Happy crafting!

Welcome to Creative Crafts for Creative Kids, a place where getting creative has never been easier.  Sometimes it can be challenging to spark creativity in a child for any number of reasons.  A parent may lack the time to sit down and do a project with a child or perhaps they feel they lack the creativity or ideas they desire or need.  The same can go for a child.  They may become frustrated if their project doesn’t look “just right” or if they aren’t given the proper tools and guidance when crafting.

With the help of this blog, children and parents alike can get helpful tips, tricks and projects that will fuel the imagination and the mind.  Learn everything from how to stock your craft box to how to make toiletpaper roll napkin rings.  It’s time to let your imagination wander and get creative!
