Celebrate Halloween with this festive doorknob decoration! This is an easy craft that is perfect for decorating during Halloween and is great for the kids’ room or any room!

Things You Will Need:

  • Craft foam in the Halloween colors of your choice
  • Scissors
  • A pencil
  • Markers
  • Glue

Step 1: Begin by drawing the outline of a doorknob hanger onto a piece of foam. Once you have the shape you want, cut it out. If you do not have craft foam you can use cardboard, such as a cereal box, covered in paper.

Step 2: Draw some Halloween shapes onto pieces of foam and cut them out. I’ve drawn a ghost, a pumpkin and the word “boo.” Again, if you do not have foam you can use cardboard or other sturdy paper.

Step 3: Once All of the shapes have been cut out, use markers to add details such as a face for the ghost and lines for the pumpkin.

Step 4: Once all of the pieces have been colored and decorated, glue them to the doorknob hanger and let dry.

Congratulations! You have made a festive Halloween doorknob hanger. Hang this fun decoration anywhere you want to show your Halloween spirit. It makes a great addition to any holiday decor. Do you always have your nose in a book? This little guy does too! This dinosaur makes the perfect companion for readers big and small because he’s always there to hold your page. Simply hook his head over a page to mark your spot for next time.

Things you will need:

  • The dinosaur template (Click the link for a PDF)
  • Green craft foam or thick scrapbooking paper
  • A pencil
  • Markers
  • Scissors

Step 1: Cut out the template and trace it onto a piece of craft foam or heavy paper.

Step 2: Carefully cut out the dinosaur.

Step 3: Use your markers to add details to the dinosaur including little circles on his feet, spots on his belly, an eye and a smile. Another option is to use a googly eye instead of drawing an eye in.

Congratulations! You have made a dinosaur bookmark perfect for holding your place while you read. Did you do this project? How did it turn out? Please feel free to share your comments and photos in the comments section. Happy crafting!
