This is a great project for beginners.  It helps teach basic cutting and tracing skills as well as writing.  It is a project ideal for Valentine’s, Mother’s and Father’s Day or any day you want to show that you love someone.

Look how much I love you 001

You will need the following supplies to complete the project:

  • Construction paper in the colors of your choice
  • Markers, crayons or colored pencils
  • Glue or tape
  • Scissors
  • Yarn in your choice of color
  • A pencil

Look how much I love you 007Step 1: Begin by holding the yarn in one hand pulling it with the other until it is the length of your arm-span.  Cut when you have reached the correct length.

Look how much I love you 004Step 2: Next, trace your hands onto a piece of paper in the color of your choice.  Do the same with a heart, either tracing or drawing it freehand.  Cut all three pieces out.

Step 3: Glue or tape a hand to each end of the string.  Glue or tape the heart in the middle.

Look how much I love you 010Step 4: Flip your piece over and using a marker, crayon or colored pencil write “Look how much I love you!” on the heart.

Congratulations!  Now your piece is finished and you can show that special someone how much you love them!  Did you make this card?  Did you do something different?  Please share pictures and comments in the comments section!
